π¬ About the Founder
Quentin began his academic journey with a business school program straight after high school, completing it with a master's degree. He then pursued an additional master's in audiovisual studies, driven by his passion for the creative industry.
After graduating, he aimed to build a career in the music industry, which led him to work at Wagram Music, one of the largest record labels globally. For nearly three years, he worked as a project manager, focusing on marketing and brand partnerships. However, Quentin eventually felt he had reached a plateau in terms of learning and growth within the company.
Seeking new challenges, he shifted his focus to the rapidly expanding startup ecosystem in Paris. To deepen his understanding, he joined The Family, a well-known startup accelerator, where he completed an intensive three-month training program. This experience solidified his interest in the startup world, leading him to apply for various roles. Eventually, he landed a position at eFounders (now Hexa), a renowned startup studio, as an associate.
At eFounders, Quentin played a crucial role in developing an internal organizational tool, taking the project from zero to one over the course of a year. However, following a structural reorganization within the company, his involvement in the project gradually decreased.
Following this experience, Quentin joined Maddyness, a leading online media platform for startups. At the time, the company was diversifying its activities into events, branded content, video production, etc. He was brought on board to develop a recruitment platform (job board), which he managed for nearly two years. Eventually, the project was sold to a key player in the industry, marking another milestone in his career.
Looking for his next challenge, Quentin joined a startup specializing in coworking space management software. Unfortunately, the business was severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and was forced to shut down.
After accumulating a diverse range of experiences, from marketing to startup building and product development, Quentin realized he had gathered all the necessary skills to launch his own venture. With a strong foundation in business strategy, and the startup ecosystem, he was ready to embark on his entrepreneurial journey.
π About the Business
Notion Everything is a leading platform for discovering Notion templates, tools, and resources to help individuals and businesses maximize their productivity. Designed for entrepreneurs, freelancers, and teams, the platform curates high-quality templates that streamline workflows, optimize organization, and unlock Notionβs full potential.
With over 40k of templates sold and up to 300K+ monthly visits, Notion Everything has grown into a go-to destination for Notion users worldwide, all without spending a single dollar on paid advertising. By offering a mix of free and premium templates, the platform enables users to customize their workspace efficiently.
π‘ Origin of the idea & Vision
Throughout his previous professional experiences, Quentin became increasingly familiar with No-Code tools, leveraging them for various purposes such as lead generation, automation, and workflow optimization. Over time, he became a strong Notion user and fan of the tool, convinced of its transformative potential in personal and professional productivity.
At the end of his last job, Quentin came across a social media post from Valentin Geffroy, who was looking for help managing a website he had built around Notion. Valentin had initially launched the site as a marketplace, taking a 20-30% commission on sales from creators offering Notion templates. However, he was seeking someone to take over or relaunch it. Seeing an opportunity, Quentin reached out, and thatβs how the adventure began.
Originally, the marketplace exclusively promoted third-party templates, acting as a platform for Notion creators. However, after joining forces, Quentin and Valentin began iterating on the business model, testing different approaches to maximize the platform's potential. Over time, they started creating and selling their own Notion templates, which marked a turning point in the business.
Today, the platform functions more like an e-commerce site, primarily showcasing their own products. However, they haven't entirely abandoned the original marketplace concept, as they continue to feature third-party products and earn a commission on sales. This hybrid model allows them to leverage both their own expertise and the broader Notion creator ecosystem, making the business more dynamic and scalable.
π Strategy
Understanding market perception and leveraging free templates
In the world of Notion templates, sales numbers can be misleading. Many creators include free downloads in their total sales count, giving the impression of higher traction. This tactic helps attract potential customers by creating social proof, "many people have already used this template, so it must be valuable."
Offering free templates is a common strategy to generate leads for future sales or implement a βpay what you wantβ model, relying on user appreciation and goodwill. This method allows creators to test the demand for a template before setting a fixed price. If many users download it and provide positive feedback, it serves as validation that the template solves a real problem.
The best approach for launching a template is starting simple. The initial version should be minimalistic, focusing on essential functionalities. Once traction is confirmed, the template can be gradually improved and expanded based on real user needs. Monitoring demand allows creators to identify high-value templates and prioritize them in their offering.
Early entry and market timing, a key competitive advantage
When Quentin joined Notion Everything, the site was among the first platforms dedicated to selling Notion templates, even before Notion launched its own official template marketplace. Valentin had started the website in 2021, securing an early-mover advantage.
Being one of the first players in the space was a huge advantage, allowing them to gain brand recognition and credibility before the market became crowded. Their pioneer status helped them build organic traction, making them a go-to reference.
SEO played a major role in driving new customers. As one of the earliest sites in the niche, Notion Everything quickly became a trusted source in Googleβs ranking. However, timing alone isn't enough, many competitors entered later and still managed to succeed. This highlights that strong marketing strategies can overcome an early market entry in a competitive landscape.
Mastering acquisition channels to compete effectively
In any competitive market, differentiation through acquisition channels is crucial. Quentin noticed that every dominant player in the Notion space mastered one primary channel to drive leads.
Notion Everything : SEO
Thomas Frank : YouTube
Easlo : Twitter
Each business found a unique acquisition channel, ensuring a steady flow of leads that competitors couldnβt easily replicate. Quentin chose SEO, not only because the site was well-positioned early, but also because he had previous experience in lead generation from his past roles.
To further establish credibility, Quentin obtained Notion certifications as soon as they were released. Displaying them on the site helped reinforce his authority in the space, positioning him as a true Notion expert rather than just another seller.
Managing risks in a low-barrier market
One of the biggest challenges in this industry is the lack of entry barriers. Anyone can create or duplicate a Notion template and start selling it. This makes the market highly competitive as low setup costs encourage many new sellers to try their luck.
However, while anyone can create a template, not everyone can build an audience and credibility. This is where Quentin invested heavily over the years. His newsletter with 5 000+ subscribers, combined with consistent content marketing, positioned him as a trusted leader in the Notion space. By establishing a strong audience, Quentin ensures that his templates have a higher perceived value, increasing trust and conversion rates.
One of the biggest challenges in this market is convincing prospects that a template is worth the price. Quentin achieves this by leveraging : Notion certifications (proving his expertise), early market entry and established reputation, a large audience and an engaged community. Transparency about his journey and sharing his story openly further strengthens trust with potential customers, making them more likely to buy.
Addressing template stealing & protecting intellectual property
One downside of selling digital products is the risk of content stealing. Once a Notion template is shared, it can be copied and resold without permission. While completely preventing stealing is difficult, there are ways to mitigate the risk.
If Quentin identifies a stolen template, he can report it to Notion, providing proof of unauthorized duplication and resale. In response, Notion can ban the seller's account. Although theft remains a challenge, building brand authority and a trusted customer base ensures that most users prefer to buy directly from a reputable source rather than risking low-quality or pirated versions.
Business Model π
Selling digital products like Notion templates is one of the most scalable and profitable business models. Unlike physical products, selling one template or selling thousands has virtually no impact on costs. Once created, a template can be sold indefinitely without additional production or logistics expenses.
However, standing out in the market is extremely challenging. Digital products have low barriers to entry, meaning anyone can start selling templates, which increases competition significantly. The simplicity of entry attracts many new sellers, making it crucial to build a strong brand and competitive advantage to maintain sales over time.
Quentinβs pricing for Notion templates varies based on complexity and the problems he solves. On Notion Everything, prices range from $34 to $280, depending on the value delivered. The most expensive product is a bundle pack priced at $280, which gives customers access to multiple high-value templates in a single purchase. This pricing strategy allows users to get a better deal while increasing the average order value, making it an effective way to monetize at scale.
Beyond selling templates, Quentin also earns little revenue through affiliate marketing. He strategically redirects his audience toward Notion subscriptions and online courses, earning a commission on each sale. This allows him to leverage his content and influence to generate additional passive income while providing valuable resources to his audience.
π Market & Competition
The French market for Notion templates is competitive but while Quentin focuses on selling templates, other major players like Shubham Sharma have built their businesses around Notion training and education rather than just product sales.
π Lessons & Tips
Master your acquisition channel : Find the acquisition channel that suits you best, one youβre comfortable with, and become an expert in it to maximize sales. Whether it's SEO, YouTube, Twitter, or paid ads, mastering one channel is key to standing out in a competitive market.
Tech & AI are game changers : Quentin believes that technology and AI are opening doors for more people to start online businesses. These tools allow entrepreneurs to scale projects faster and test multiple ideas efficiently. This represents a huge opportunity for new founders willing to take the risk.
Entrepreneurship is hard work : Starting a business isnβt easy, it takes time, effort, and persistence. While online businesses can be highly scalable and profitable, success doesnβt happen overnight.
The mental load never fully stops : Being an entrepreneur means always having your business on your mind. Even on vacation, the mental weight of managing, growing, and sustaining a business remains. Itβs a trade-off that comes with the freedom and rewards of entrepreneurship.
π Conclusion
Quentinβs journey with Notion Everything is a testament to timing, expertise, and strategic execution. From his early experiences in the music industry to working in startups and exploring no-code tools, every step of his career led him to the right opportunity at the right moment. His passion for Notion, combined with his deep understanding of SEO and digital products, positioned him perfectly to take over and scale a platform dedicated to Notion templates.
By leveraging early market entry, strong SEO positioning, and consistent audience-building, he transformed Notion Everything from a simple marketplace into a profitable digital product business. His approach, focusing on high-value templates, audience trust, and certification-backed credibility, helped him differentiate in a highly competitive market with low barriers to entry.
Despite challenges like copycat competitors and market saturation, Quentin continues to innovate, adapting his business model and acquisition strategies to stay ahead of the curve. His success underscores key entrepreneurial lessons : find your niche, master your acquisition channel, leverage scalable products, and build credibility through expertise.

What really stands out to me is his ability to leverage the power of SEO and early market entry to dominate in a competitive space. Being one of the first to the game gave Notion Everything that critical brand recognition, but itβs the consistent content marketing and his focus on audience trust that really sets it apart from the countless others entering the market with minimal effort.
